Unitek employee is elected president of The International Women’s Forum in Arizona

Newport Beach, CaliforniaJanuary 31, 2023 – Unitek Learning is thrilled to announce that
Karilyn Van Oosten, Vice President of Strategic Business Development, has been appointed president of The International Women’s Forum (IWF) Arizona. The primary mission of IWF is to advance women’s leadership roles, champion equality worldwide, and create mentorship programs.

“We are so thrilled that Karilyn has been appointed president of the board for The International Women’s Forum Arizona. It’s an honor and a privilege,” said Janis Paulson, Chief Executive Officer at Unitek Learning. “IWF is one of the nation’s exemplary nonprofit organizations that promote women in leadership roles across careers, cultures, and continents. We believe academia and inclusivity are vital when it comes to supporting the future of healthcare. This is a core belief that IWF shares with all of us at Unitek.”

Since the 1970s, IWF has elevated more than 500 international fellows to accelerate the potential of the next generation. This nonprofit organization seeks to shape a future in which leadership has no gender. It has also connected more than 7,500 leaders across six continents in 33 countries and 74 local forums around the world. As an affiliate of IWF, the Arizona forum includes over 100 extraordinary women in fields ranging from business to the arts, government, and academia.

Karilyn Van Oosten is a results-driven leader with more than 20 years of experience in higher education. Throughout her career, Karilyn has instituted more than 800 healthcare and almost 1,000 educational alliances nationwide. She has filled many leadership roles at various institutions, using her expertise to develop collaborative relationships with healthcare systems, create workforce solutions, and enhance employment opportunities.

Unitek Learning is the parent company of several distinguished learning institutions: Unitek College, Unitek EMT, Eagle Gate College, Provo College, and Brookline College.
