Your next nurse
already works for you.

They just need a way to advance. Find your plant care instructions below, along with a closer look at how hospitals are building nurses from their own staff.

Caring for your plant.

A few basics keep it healthy.

Your Dracaena Compacta is easy to care for. See the full care guide for more detail.

Water every two weeks.

If the moss ball feels light, soak it in room-temperature water for 10 minutes, then gently squeeze.

Choose indirect light.

Bright, indirect light is best. Direct sun can scorch the leaves.

Avoid drafts and vents.

Normal room temperature and humidity work fine.

Know the warning signs.

Yellow leaves mean too much water. Drooping or curling means too little. Brown tips mean the air may be too dry.

People do have something in common with plants. Give them the right conditions, and they thrive.

The Workforce Solutions story.

Outside hiring alone isn’t keeping up.

Every hospital in your region competes for the same shrinking pool of nurses. Replacing one bedside RN costs an average of $60,090 (NSI, 2026), and many outside hires leave within a year. The candidates you need may already be on your staff. What’s missing is the pathway.

A reason to join. A reason to stay.

Frontline and support staff often leave because they see nowhere to go. A nursing pathway inside your hospital changes that. Employees train while they keep working and earning, and graduates stay under a service commitment once licensed.

I’ve grown up at Community because I started here when I was 18. I like knowing that when I graduate as a nurse, I’ll be working in a hospital vs. some of my friends in other programs who have to take jobs in memory or long-term care in order to get the work experience a hospital wants.

Community Health Systems’

Nursing Education Pathway

Being able to grow our own staff members… people that are committed to where we live and are going to have their kids go to school here, they’re going to shop here, they’re going to bank here, they’re going to buy a home here… in the long run, it just really grows your community, your region.

How it works.

Workforce Solutions, a division of Unitek College of Nursing, builds and runs accredited LPN, ADN and BSN programs inside your hospital, alongside the academic partners you already rely on.

  • You bring space, equipment, clinicians who precept and employees who want to advance.
  • We bring the curriculum, faculty, an on-site program director and a success coach for every student.

Start with a workforce assessment session.

Bring your numbers, even benchmarks and goals, and we’ll build the model with you. You’ll leave knowing what the status quo costs each year, whether or not we go further.
